April 13, 2009	Deadline to change party affiliation for those voters already affiliated with a party for the June primary election
May 12, 2009	Last day to register or change voting address for primary elections
May 26, 2009	Deadline for receipt by County Clerk of mailed application for absentee ballot for the primary election
June 1, 2009	3 p.m. is the deadline for obtaining an absentee ballot application in person at the County Clerk's office for the primary election
June 2, 2009	Primary Election Day (polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.)

June 2, 2009	Petition filing deadlines for independent candidates for general elections
Sept. 10, 2009	Last day for a political party to designate a replacement in the event of a vacancy among candidates nominated at primaries
Oct. 13, 2009	Last day to register or change voting address for general elections
Oct. 27, 2009	Deadline for receipt by County Clerk of mailed application for absentee ballot for the general election
Nov. 2, 2009	3 p.m. deadline for obtaining an absentee ballot application in person at the County Clerk's office for the general elections

May 5, 2009	Deadline for mailed aapplication for absentee ballot to County Clerk
May 11, 2009	3 p.m. deadline for applying for an absentee ballot in person at the County Clerk's office
May 12, 2009	Nonpartisan Municipal Elections in some municipalities
