LWVNJ Fall Workshops, Sept 24
Were you there??? This year's workshop featured experts on accountability in education in the morning, then a variety of useful sessions in the afternoon. We got a great update on accountability in public and charter schools. About 75 people came. If you missed it, watch this web site for future opportunities to learn and grow!

Fighting Poverty, Oct 5
. Another great session -- a panel of speakers with different areas of experience in fighting poverty informed us and tiik questions. We filled the room. Hope you were there!

Come to board meetings and other League activities. Maybe you'd like to learn how to organize an event (cool -- join a committee -- you don't have to be on the board), to manage an organization's finances (we can use members of the budget committee, and people to help or be the treasurer... we'll help you, and you'll learn a lot!), to facilitate a session with students and politicians (you can join our group of facilitators at Running & Winning). The League is an opportunity to expand your skills in numerous areas. If you are willing to take the initiative, you can even add to the list!

Wouldn't it look good on your CV to say that you had moderated forums for the League of Women Voters, attended Freeholder meetings as a League representative, served on the League's budget committee, and written articles for the Voter?
