This is a new Web site just for students and first-time voters from the League of Women Voters of New Jersey, an organization known for educating voters - and future voters - in New Jersey. |
Members of the League rarely miss an opportunity to vote. Maybe it's because it took 70 years for women to win the right to vote in America and we know that every vote counts! So we want to answer your questions about voting in a user-friendly format. |

| Probably a lot--after the close 2000 presidential election! Now we know that voters must do their civic homework and be well-informed. | There are many laws about voting and elections. You must register, or sign up, to vote if you are voting for the very first time. If you move, you must register to vote in your new town. You must register to vote at least 29 days before the election. |
